At the international donor conference dedicated to Albania and held in Brussels on February 17, R. of Serbia contributed with a donation of 2 million euros.

Yesterday in Brussels, on February 17, the international donor conference “Together for Albania” was organized, where its focus was on raising funds to help Albania recover from the devastating consequences of the 26 November earthquake. In total, our country received donations for 1.15 billion euros, which exceeds all expectations, thus enabling a rapid rebuilding process of the country. Neighboring countries have also offered a modest assistance, with the RS Serbia leading the donation campaign with 2M euros as well as other technical and humanitarian assistance. Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic declared this yesterday in Brussels, stressing that this help should also serve as a message for a common future and further relations. Prime Minister Brnabic also said that Serbia is keen to show solidarity and support the Albanian people.

“We have worked hard for the stabilization of the region and for its better interconnection. I am glad that Albania has embraced the mini-Schengen initiative. This is another way of showing that we are here for our partners, for all the citizens of the region even when we are in difficulty,” said Brnabic.
